We really enjoyed our stay, the hotel rooms were comfortable and we felt we got a good value for the price. We really appreciate all of the assistance the front desk staff provided and helping us to arrange transfers and make plans during our day.

Lovely location, clean and spacious room. We would have appreciated more clear direction about the Venice tax- the email link was missing, and the staff was not aware we didn’t need to register for those particular dates. It would be helpful to have help figuring out how to get to the airport besides a water taxi.

Average hotel, a bit outdated décor, overly priced in comparison with hotels of the similar quality, design, and décor, in same category or price point.

The Hotel American Dinesen is one of our favorite hotels in the world. It starts with the staff. People like Elisabetta, Marco and Nicolo make us feel welcomed. They are knowledgeable and always there to help. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The location is ideal. The Hotel is on a quiet canal, yet close enough to get to the main locations in Venice.

We spent a great week at this hotel. The staff was excellent. Friendly and helpful. Next door to a very good restaurant. The room was normal size but a very good bathroom and a nice balcony overlooking the canal on which the hotel is located.

Absolutely amazing experience : beautiful room, such convenient but quite location that is walkable to St Mark's square and other main attractions, reachable by water taxi directly with no need to carry our heavy luggage thanks for the bell boy, kind and approachable service staff all around including the front and breakfast staff, SUPER CLEAN and sound-proofed room, great amenities like proper hair dryer and water kettle in the room.... need I go on? When we needed anything in the room, the front was receptive and delivered the items very promptly. I am so happy I chose to 'splurge' a little and stay in this hotel with the room with a canal view (worth every penny), and will be returning here for any future travels and recommend this to anyone who's considering visiting Venice. I travelled with my parents who can be a little picky with accommodations and they loved every single aspect of this hotel. Thank you!!!

It was fantastic. We have always had good experiences here, and especially after our visit during our most recent trip, the American Dinesen will be our go to hotel for when we visit Venice.
