this hotel is magical. it captures the beauty & romance of venice. our room had a balcony overlooking the canal & that added to the beauty of our room. the staff was wonderful (even lugging our "way too many" suitcases up the stairs). i recommend this hotel to anyone visiting venice! enjoy the peace & quiet found in this part of venice.

Unique qualities:
the feeling of history; the magic of discovering hidden jewels around each turn ... the stained glass windows; the piano; the walkway over the street below; the quiet balcony garden at the rear of the hotel.
